The Tournament of Champions is a Tournament to see who is the ultimate "Champion of Champions". The winner will carry not only this title but also walk away with R250 000 in cash and an entry into the All Africa Poker Tournament (AAPT) in May 2009.
-The Tournaments structure is as follows:
- Guaranteed Prize Pool of R500 000.
Prize pool money is distributed as follows:
- 1st Place Winner Receives R250 000
- 2nd Place Winner Receives R75 000
- 3rd Place Winner Receives R47 500
- 4th Place Winner Receives R27 500
- 5th Place Winner Receives R25 000
- 6th Place Winner Receives R20 000.
- 7th Place Winner Receives R17 500
- 8th Place Winner Receives R15 500
- 9th Place Winner Receives R12 500
- 10th Place Winner Receives R10 000
- You are only able to enter if you have placed First place in any one of the following tournaments that were held by Piggs Peak Poker. Depending on the Tournament you won you will be allocated starting chips accordingly.
Tournament Starting Chips
- R20 000 Guaranteed Entry and 2000 Chips
- R40 000 Freeze Out Entry and 4000 Chips
- R60 000 Guaranteed Entry and 4000 Chips
- R100 000 Guaranteed Entry and 8000 Chips
- R150 000 Freeze Out Entry and 12000 Chips
- R250 000 Guaranteed Entry and 12000 Chips
- Million A Month Tournament Entry and 20000 Chips
- If you have won more than one of the Tournaments then your starting chips will be added onto your existing chips. The top 10 players who have the highest amount of starting chips will walk away with a further R160 000 which will be shared amongst them as follows:
- Highest - R40 000 in cash
- 2nd Highest - R30 000 in cash
- 3rd Highest - R20 000 in cash
- 4th Highest - R10 000 in cash
- 5th Highest - R10 000 in cash
- 6th Highest - R10 000 in cash
- 7th Highest - R10 000 in cash
- 8th Highest - R10 000 in cash
- 9th Highest - R10 000 in cash
- 10th Highest - R10 000 in cash
- This Promotion runs between 1 October 2008 and 3 May 2009. Players who win the qualifying tournaments will be notified of their win within 3 days. The Tournament of Champions will take place on Sunday 10 May 2009 at 20h00.
